Islands of the South Atlantic Ocean

I am working on a Challenge that involves producing 1 textile piece per month.  The only criteria is that it must be at least 2 layers and there is no set size but each textile must not be less than 6" and not more than 12" in any dimension.   At the end of the year they will be joined together so that they form a single unit.

I have chosen this theme as I have lived on the islands studied in my textiles and am using my own photographs as a reference.

Star Blocks

 The following two blocks were created for a challenge set for QGYQs volunteers.  

They are both 12.5" square and had to contain 3 layers and be quilted.

Waterscapes - River Bure at Coltishall

 I decided at the beginning of the first lockdown to make a booklet on 'Waterscapes'.   Here are more samples that I have created using items from my stash. They will all be 6" squares. These are images of the River Bure at Coltishall
